The analysis was conducted by Hollywood Hills, California-based luxury real estate experts RubyHome established the most common houseplants and succulents on Instagram and analyzed the number of hashtags for both the scientific name of each houseplant and the most commonly used names.
The work collected nearly 10 million posts for the top 10 factories. Commenting on the findings, a RubyHome spokesperson says: “It’s exciting to see such high numbers of hashtags for so many houseplants, showing how many social media users love seeing their homes come alive with their easy-care plants. It also proves how popular the social networking platform is for sharing information about their interior design choices.”
